"Stop judging my creativity! You're hurting my feelings!"

Creative Developer Guideline 342: Have thick skin and don't be reactionary.

Remember, anyone putting anything creative out there is being judged and not always by intelligent people with valid points. It'd be real nice if everyone with an opinion provided proper criticism of your work but this just isn't the case. As a creative person, your work has meaning to you and you hope the public will embrace it when you share it. It's like exposing the most private part of yourself.

Learn to look for the real criticism and just ignore the ignorant people posting meaningless, negative comments. These people are just miserable about something in their life and attempting to make you miserable like them the only way they know how; share the misery. They're not worth it. Listen to the people that share real opinions and constructive criticism and address what you will. Take your time. You don't need to address the first comment you get, but if you get many of the same comment, there might be something to it. Don't be reactionary and give your work time to be seen by a lot of people before you decide to make any changes.

Remember, everyone has opinions and hiding behind a computer allows people the ability to show their hidden colors. Don't take it personally, these same nasty people hound everyone in an attempt to give themselves validation by attracting your attention.
